While things are fresh in my mind I am going to jot down a few the notes I took away from WordCamp Birmingham. The notes below are simply things that were new or important to me and do not begin to cover all of the information offered.

• VaultPress: Backup your WordPress install automatically. Currently invitation only.
• WP-DB-Backup: Backup your WordPress database on demand with this plugin.
• Health Check plugin: Checks the health of your WordPress install.
• Beta Tester plugin: Allows you to easily upgrade to Beta releases.
• WordPress Custom Post Types: Allows you to display many different types of content.
• More Fields plugin (Broken link removed): Add extra fields in any number of additional boxes on the Write/Edit page in the Admin.
